How to choose a UV printer: start with the product
Start with product shape, material and order volume, then compare equipment.

Start with what you will print, how many per day and who will operate the printer. Then compare size and configuration.

What will you print?
| Product | Start here |
|---|---|
| Phone cases and small keepsakes | ZP1A or ZP1B with item-specific fixtures |
| Tumblers, bottles and golf balls | Cylinder or golf-ball route |
| Panels, signs and flat materials | ZZE, 6090 or 6090Ultra |
| Sugar-sheet printing/carving or food printing | SP1 for sugar sheets; ZZE food for cookies and macarons, subject to actual-item testing |
Food needs a dedicated food-grade ink setup. GP1 cup and bottle items must be <200 mm in total length and 55–80 mm in diameter; test actual items first.
What should you bring for a sample?
- The real product or same-batch material
- Typical artwork and the hardest artwork
- Normal and peak order volume
- The color you want and how firmly the print should stick and resist wear
